This beauty was hiding in the weeds. I didn’t plant it and I cannot confirm which type of flower it is. Looks like a lily or a snapdragon. I have spent far too much time already searching the internet, but I will keep you posted if I figure out what it is. For now, just enjoy. This little flower is the silver lining for letting my flower bed fill up with weeds. The definition of weed is something else to discuss. But for now, I will just let you know that my definition of a weed is a plant that I don’t care for. Other potential criteria fail; beautiful blooms, produce food, attract beneficial insects, reseeds itself/perennial. The reason the weed criteria are insufficient is that both weeds and purposefully placed plants can meet/not meet all the criteria. So, basically it is just up to me. Do I like this little plant? I sure do. It stays!
