A bodiless head?!? Yes! Isn’t it a lovely view? I captured this ant after he and two of his buddies stowed away on my sock and made it into the house. Ant number one bit me and so I quickly crushed him between my fingers and tossed him in the sink. I captured ant two and three in a small plastic container so that I could practice my photography and get some shots to share with you. Well, quick ant two escaped before I could do anything. So, all I had left was ant number 3. I took off the lid of the container and ant number three tried to escape as well. I panicked!! Put the lid back on quick!!!! Ah, in my haste I decapitated the ant. Super freaky. I was able to use my new iphone camera microscope to grab this photo of his head though, and I think it is pretty cool. Enjoy!
