Okra Fruited

Alt Text: Small 1 cm long Eagle Pass Okra pod on plant with pine mulch visible on the ground and out of focus squash vine in the background. There is a ’1’ key from a computer keyboard visible in the foreground.
Photo Caption: A fruit has formed on this okra plant that I grew from seeds I saved last year. That is why it is my number one. Couldn’t be happier with these DIY plant labels.

My saved seed has germinated, transplanted, flowered, and fruited.

Hooray.  Okra for Okra Garden Supply.  I have to celebrate this First Okra of 2017 because this plant is the namesake of the shop.  The feeling of completing the cycle of growth in our own yard is calm and pleasant.  I grew a plant, I saved the seed, I grew the plant again.  Highly wonderful.  I recommend it completely.  Grow and save and grow and save again.

Below are a few links to a few blogs that I am drawing inspiration from as I begin my blogging journey.

One of my fellow bloggers is garden therapy. Com Just the name is enough.  She/he, whoever it is correct.  Garden is therapy.  Just relax and grow every day.

I also like the Walden Effect  blog and they just put it up everyday, a true “log” and it is a quick read.  Sort of like peaking over your neighbors fence.

Design milk is a dream.  Isn’t about gardening but it is enjoyable

And I do like blogging.  I am starting to look forward to a garden blogger conference in Austin, Texas next May.  It is my goal to attend.

And I want you to see my seeds.  Photos of the seed that grew this plant first appeared in Saved Seeds Conquered Fears
