Ah, nothing says summer like fresh strawberries. And here in Harris County Texas we may have that wonderful summer feeling in a few weeks. Check out this lovely flower. Oh, beauties, I hope I can protect you from the birds and squirrels. The strawberry plant pictured here spread from a one gallon perennial plant I put in three years ago. Maximum cumulative yield 20 berries. But I am going to keep trying!
