This flower is a good example of why I garden. The very simple flower is astonishingly beautiful. It is good for me to see such beautiful things. The tides of fortune have brought me to north Harris County, Texas to a small patch of suburbia in the greater petro metro. I don’t gaze at lofty peaks, or hear the gurgle of a mountain brook when I leave my front door. But these little white flowers give my heart a lift and remind me that nature is everywhere, and we can draw strength from beauty. It just makes me feel better to see blossoms. I hope these two lovely strawberry blooms give you a lift too.
